Soundscape Project

“The ear favors no particular “point of view.” We are enveloped by sound. It forms a seamless web around us. We say, “Music shall fill the air.” We never say, “Music shall fill a particular segment of the air.”” To me this quote immediately stuck out to me because I love listening to music, and playing music. Using a garage b and was a new thing to me. I experimented in GarageBand with a bunch of different sounds and instruments and some of my own tunes that I imported into garageband. To me it was really interesting to create some of the tunes I made online. I still felt Like music surrounding and filling the space around me but not as much as when I actually pick up my guitar and start either strumming some random cords or doing an actual song. To me I like my music to be live not through a headset because in a live instrument you can hear so much more emotion. I love that part of playing an instrument.

Gina Adams Presentation

Gina Adams' stuff was really interesting to me. The thing that really interested me was The Broken Treaty Medallions. When she was stating what she was doing with these medallions she told us that she wants people to wear them to know about the treaties. She also wants us to tell people about the history and about the importance of broken treaties. When people do start to wear them this will bring awareness to people and we can better our communities and our thought process about these treaties. Another point in her presentation I thought was interesting was the quilts she realized how powerful it was to be able to speak about all of those feelings about keeping the treaties important because if we start learning about the treaties we can start to change and start to learn about them. She also had a very interesting way of portraying them, she used different fabrics when creating the letters and I thought it was kinda weird to see a treaty with so many different fabrics.

My photos

Flicker Photos To understand how we see the world with light from different angles. It really amazes me that whenever I am taking a photo I always learn more about how the direction of the light on the subject is important, for example straight overhead sunlight or lamp light generally produces harsh light with shadows. For some o f the photo I took I wanted to give it that harsh light with shadow cause not only is it about light it is the way we precive how it feels in the photos. When taking my photos outside, the first characteristic of light that I thought of was how intense do I want my light no matter where it is coming from. For all of my photos and how they turned out I am very happy cause it really spoke to who and how I spend my time. I really thought about this project as how can I describe how I am an introvert and I thought of how I usually love spending time in my room with my led lights on because its calming and who I am.
