To understand how we see the world with light from different angles. It really amazes me that whenever I am taking a photo I always learn more about how the direction of the light on the subject is important, for example straight overhead sunlight or lamp light generally produces harsh light with shadows. For some of the photo I took I wanted to give it that harsh light with shadow cause not only is it about light it is the way we precive how it feels in the photos. When taking my photos outside, the first characteristic of light that I thought of was how intense do I want my light no matter where it is coming from. For all of my photos and how they turned out I am very happy cause it really spoke to who and how I spend my time. I really thought about this project as how can I describe how I am an introvert and I thought of how I usually love spending time in my room with my led lights on because its calming and who I am.

Native American how they are portrayed in the media What i wanted to talk about for the last project is how the media portrayed Native Americans for quite awhile. Now the media and people have changed their opinions cause the media started to actually portray Native Americans in a good way. We also as a community especially in Lawrence want to appreciate the Native Americans tribes.  In this presentation I have some inkjet prints that I think portray how we as a community are appreciating them and thats relating to how the media is now portraying the Native American Tribes. Who I am

             My home town Hi I am Bettina Coker I am from Highland Park Illinois a suburb of Chicago and Here I am sitting in my room at my desk just thinking of all the things I could start off in my blog to describe my world to you. Gotta say my world is pretty blessed traveling, fencing, and those may seem like only a few things, but within those things are many ways to be grateful for. I get to go places and see new things all the time and i get my art motivation all the time from museums photos and paintings. This summer I went to Santorini Greece it was like a dream there. Then Fencing is alway something to be blessed about from going to tournaments to being able to fence at a club for 10 years. When I got to college I immediately was on the Lawrence fencing team and I am lucky for this opportunity. Even now with Covid going on still I don't feel as trapped in one spot because I go on trips and I go to fencing and I am grateful to even get to during this time. I think it is v

What is the Future

"future because he is the only person aware of the nature of the present."In this video I wanted to make this notion that time is slowed down and people stopped with the pandemic. We slowed down time with this whole pandemic. Businesses have closed down, streets have been shut down. The streets are empty. It makes me feel creeped out because when you walk down the street it feels creepy cause usually Lawrence University on the sidewalks, especially on sunny days, beginning around 7 or 5 p.m., when the students working from there dorms can finally shut their laptops and engage in opportunity for outdoor exercise but now they don't walk at that time or have time, or are to afraid to. Do you think it will get back to normal? Who knows?
